The city of Anna is located 11 miles northeast of Mckinney in North Central Collin County, and was founded by John L. Greer since he was the one who built the first house in the community in 1867. When Anna was platted in 1883, it already had a population of roughly 20 people, 2 stores, a baptist church, and a gristmill. A post office also appeared later that same year. By 1890 the town had a population of 100 to 200. Anna was incorporated in 1913, with John L. Greer as first mayor. Since then, Anna is continually growing and I've had the pleasure of shooting at one of Anna's most popular wedding venue called, "The Springs". Stone Hall, brings the beauty of the Texas countryside indoors with solid wood floors, sterling white limestone and dozens of gorgeous architectural elements accenting this beautiful reception hall. Whether you decide to have your wedding ceremony outside or inside, The Springs can accommodate you both ways. The Springs also just opened a new venue called "Tuscany Hill". Tuscany Hill is the perfect spot if you're looking to spend your wedding immersed in nature with its meticulous landscaping, and old world charm.
