My name is Daniel Motta, and I’m a professional Dallas photographer.

I specialize in work as a commercial photographer, editorial photographer, wedding photographer, headshot photographer, portrait photographer, and event photographer. My clients describe my work as improvisational, polished, candid, fun, minimalistic, and organic. In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, my photo studio, Daniel Motta Photography, is located in Downtown Plano, Texas, though many of my shoots take place, on-location, throughout the Dallas Metroplex.

In my decade as a Dallas wedding photographer, I’ve blended a polished, creative approach with equal parts posing and documentary to create an aesthetic I’m truly proud of — one that has thoroughly pleased my 100-plus clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and at wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions in Plano, McKinney, Frisco, Prosper, Allen, Aubrey, Addison, Irving, Las Colinas, and beyond.

Brides, grooms, and engaged couples usually relate most to my candid weddings, and get a kick out of my focus on genuine, irreverent moments, as well as those “look — this is our wedding!” shots that end up in magazines, hanging over fireplace mantles, or preserved in professionally created albums.

When I’m hired to handle your wedding, the images I take will tell a story that’s entirely your own, from those first moments when you’re preparing for the big day, to the ceremony itself, to the family portraits, and through all the joyful, candid action of the reception. Years from now, these images will let you and your family recall the wedding day in vivid detail, and will add to memories that will live on for a lifetime.

Please take a moment to review my portfolio of wedding photography. The most important thing is that you find something in my images that resonates with you and your own personal aesthetic. If you don’t, no hard feelings. If you do, please feel free to contact me about my Dallas wedding photography packages, and I’ll be more than happy to answer whatever questions you might have. I am also available to lend my experience and knowledge to the logistics and timeline of this special occasion.

For the time being, please refer to my personal planning guide for helpful tips and observations on every stage of the wedding day process. I think you’ll find answers to a lot of questions you might have on how everything works from a wedding photographer’s point of view, as well as things you may not have even thought about in the first place! I’ve included sections that focus on the whole day, from beginning to end, including: The Wedding Timeline; Getting Ready; The First Look; The Wedding Party; The Ceremony; Family Formal Portraits; and The Reception.

A single professional headshot can speak volumes about a Dallas-based business person or entrepreneur. Likewise, a collection of professionally treated headshots of an entire workforce creates a professional level of consistency that maximizes a brand’s message and boosts morale. In short, they come off as polished.

Over the years, I’ve developed a streamlined system for gathering business headshots at shoots for companies large and small. My methods maximize the quality of the final professional pictures, while always respecting tight schedules and delivering by strict deadlines. As far as I’m concerned, your business shouldn’t have to think about its photography needs any more than it absolutely has to; that’s why you’re hiring an experienced Dallas headshot photographer to take care of the details.

My corporate clients usually have some questions on how they and their employees should prepare for their session. If you need anything before the day of the shoot, please let me know, and I’ll be happy to help out however I can. I do have a handy resource here, however: a list of preparation tips to review and share with your employees as necessary.

Even in a large city like Dallas, it’s not easy to find a portrait photographer who can handle your unique needs with consistency and professionalism. Therefore, finding a Dallas portrait photographer whose work resonates with you is the most important thing; when you “click” with a portrait photographer, something inside of you stirs that says, “This is a person who can take an idea, and make it become a reality in a way that feels authentic and original to me.”

For these personal, commercial, editorial, and family portrait services, the process is simple — we meet to discuss and collaborate on what you have in mind. I’ll elaborate on how these loose thoughts can be translated into an image, and once we’ve settled on a direction, we’ll set up a time, date, and location.

For answers to any questions you may have on portrait photography in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, feel free to get in touch. I’ll be glad to share my years of experience over a complimentary consultation.

Whether it’s for an intimate affair or an all-out celebration, a Dallas event photographer’s job is to document a collection of personalities that have gathered in the same place for a specific purpose. Oftentimes, photographing an event in the Dallas area involves documenting certain intangible elements as well — a product or service that serves as the reason the event is taking place to begin with.

When I arrive to photograph your event, we will have already discussed your specific needs well in advance. All that’s left for me to do is check in, get to work, and collect a selection of images, both posed and candid, that speak to the unique style of your guests. No event is too large or too small, so feel free to reach out to me if you’d like to discuss event photography packages, or just need some advice on setting up your party.
