DALLAS FORT-WORTH ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

If you’re reading this, you’re probably already considering getting some engagement shots done with a Dallas-Fort Worth-based photographer. Your family, friends and followers will be demanding press releases and pictures a la the British Royal Family the moment it happens, and while a sweet selfie can speak volumes, you might be interested in procuring a Dallas engagement photographer to do the heavy lifting for the official portraits.

Getting engagement photos done early-on pulls double duty. On one hand, you’ve got some amazing pictures to hang on your wall, plaster on Instagram and send to your Grandma who lives far away from Texas (unless your grandma is on Instagram already, in which case, go Grandma). But you’re also getting to test drive the person who will be documenting your wedding: if they pass with flying colors and you love what they do, then you’ve already got your Dallas-based wedding photographer! If they’re… you know. Not very good? At least you don’t have to find out the hard way.

The best piece of advice I can offer is to pick a photographer who matches your aesthetic. Not just in the pictures they offer (though when you ‘click,’ you’ll know it), but in who they are as a person and the position they hold in the whole Dallas-Fort Worth wedding arena. Hiring an engagement photographer is often the first marriage-related thing a new couple does, and photographers are amazing resources on everything from venues in Plano, to bands in McKinney, florists in Frisco, caterers in Allen — you name it, and we probably know a dozen off the top of our heads. Wedding photographers in the Dallas metro tend to get around a bit.

On that note, if engagement photography is something you’re looking for, feel free to hit me up. If you’re local to the Dallas area, I’m available to meet (getting to know my couples is the best part of the job). If you’re elsewhere, no problem — we can chat via email, text, phone, Skype, smoke signals, carrier pigeons, you name it.

Otherwise, congrats, ya’ crazy kids. Making a conscious decision to spend the rest of your life with somebody is a big-deal thing, so bask in the glow for a while, and enjoy showing off your new rock.
