Can you say James Bond? That was all it took and the groomsmen knew exactly what I was talking about and what I was going for. I particularly love how every guy is doing something different than the other, and to me that's the reason why this photograph stands out. It was pretty nasty outside and I was worried about how the weather was going to affect the shots I was taking. Plus, I didn't want to ruin their tux's by having them walk everywhere in the grass. This group of guys were real gentlemen and a real class act. I took this photograph by the groom's suite at The Orchard in Azle Texas.
There is some interesting historical facts that highlight the City of Azle. The first plank home was built of lumber hauled 280 miles from Houston, Texas in an ox-drawn wagon. Also, the Ash creek baptist church, which was organized in 1872, was the first church to be organized in Azle. It was said that one of the early ministers of the church preached with a six-shooter on each side of his bible while the men in the congregation rested their rifles across their knees in case of a surprise attacks from the Comanche Indians. How times have changed!
