This image highlights the bride and groom kissing and spending a special moment together. It also was the only image that was taken outside after the ceremony due to the rain, and so we wanted to do something special. I thought it would be fun to get them kissing and light the umbrella with an external flash. Sometimes these shots can be a bit difficult to pull off because we are adding light and not having enough available light makes the lens hard to focus. Either way we all had a blast and it turned out being one of the bride and groom's favorite images!
Also, there are some interesting historical facts that highlight the City of Azle. The first plank home was built of lumber hauled 280 miles from Houston, Texas in an ox-drawn wagon. Also, the Ash creek baptist church, which was organized in 1872, was the first church to be organized in Azle. It was said that one of the early ministers of the church preached with a six-shooter on each side of his bible while the men in the congregation rested their rifles across their knees in case of a surprise attacks from the Comanche Indians. How times have changed!
