To be fully honest, I had no idea what to expect when I was driving through Perrin, Texas. It was literally out in the middle of nowhere! But the minute we arrived to capture the brides wedding we noticed hay bales with lots of land. We photographers love to scope the location out and plan some shots ahead of time. This photograph of the bride and groom is exactly one of those images I had stuck in my head since we arrived, and I knew the best time to capture it was going to be at sunset because of the beautiful natural light.
Historically, Blue grass seems to be a popular thing in Perrin Texas. I soon found out 2 miles outside of the city the Mitchell family built an RV Park to host national bluegrass festivals. Their band, The Mitchell Family Bluegrass Gospel Band was one of the finest in the nation, and last year would've made it their 40th anniversary. The youngest in the band went on to play as the interim bassist/mandolinist and lead vocalist for the Dixie Chicks. Pretty cool!
